Brainstorm Diagnostics’ blood test is an immunoassay based on αII-spectrin N-terminal fragment (SNTF). In layman’s terms- our test detects an elevated presence of the SNTF protein in a patient’s blood, which indicates whether or not the patient experienced mild traumatic brain injury, and predicts whether or not the patient will have a delayed recovery. 

This test can be performed in a hospital/ER setting or referral to an outpatient laboratory (Rx from frontline healthcare provider). The patient testing and clinical diagnosis process can be compared to Troponin blood tests to diagnose heart attacks. Most importantly, Brainstorm Diagnostics’ test can be used to prescribe early treatment, which has been shown to improve patient outcomes.
