In the United States alone, the impact of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is profound.

• 4+ million Emergency Room visits every year
• 5+ million people living with a TBI related disability
• 7+ million people at risk for TBI each year
• $35+ billion in annual economic cost

Until now there has been no way to clinically diagnose the actual brain injury that occurs in concussion. This limits doctors’ ability to accurately prescribe early treatment of these “unseen injuries”. Approximately 20% of patients with traumatic brain injury have a prolonged recovery, with significant clinical and economic costs to the patient and to society.
